The Blog-Off

It started so innocently. A small conversation between Carly and Evey about needing a challenge to post on a daily basis. Then Carly went and posted the conversation and it all blossomed from there.

In the comments of the above linked post, the idea of a competition was mentioned. A battle of the bloggers, if you will. Carly and I were sitting around a bottle of wine and started talking. What if… what if we had a contest like that? How would it work? Knowing that I was fundraising for The 3 Day Walk the idea came to fruition and the first Blog-Off For Breast Cancer took place.

Our first contest had 17 participants with our grand prize winner, Cyndi of Write2B taking the cake… and then giving it back to the cause.

Our second blog-off is wrapping up at the time of this posting and 20 people signed up for the fun. The third and final blog-off for 2007 (more to come in 2008!) is about to be announced and things are looking good.

So far we have raised $285 towards fighting breast cancer. We truly are fighting breast cancer one blog post at a time.
